Eriksen ready for Palace test

We face Crystal Palace in a 12noon kick-off this afternoon as we return to Premier League action following Champions League and FA Cup duty.

Eriksen speaking to the club website earlier in the week telling how the team has gained confidence from results against Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Juventus and now it’s time to do it again at what is seen as one of the toughest away tests in the Premier League.

The Eagles may have stumbled of late – four without a win however they were bottom of the Premier League, seven defeats in seven and zero points when Roy Hodgson took over in September and they went on a run of losing just five of the next 20 under the former England boss.

“Everyone knows how much this game means,” said Christian.
“You need to win games, especially these tough, testing away matches. We know how difficult it is at Palace but if we can get another good result, especially with how close it is in the top six, it will be another positive day for us.

He added: “Last year (April) I scored and it was a massive goal for us at that time. Of course, the year before, Dele scored his goal (the flick up and volley) and that was special. Mine didn’t beat that one but it was important as well!
“Palace is a tough place to go, everyone knows that. We’ve had some wins there lately, also some difficult times. All I know is that the team feels very confident and we’ll give everything on Sunday.”
