Lloris wants Champions League football, but will it be at Spurs?

Some quotes have emerged today from Hugo Lloris who has suggested that he will we think about his future in the summer if Tottenham do not qualify for Champions League football.

You cannot really blame Lloris’ ambition to play in the Champions League.  He is the French number one and skipper, whose talent warrants to be playing in Europe’s top club competition.

Yes, we obviously want it to be with Tottenham.  Hugo still has two-and-a-half years to run on his deal at White Hart Lane and has looked a lot more like his old self between the sticks in recent games.  His positioning and sweeper-like ability has dug us out of the shite on more than one occasion this season.

We all know that he went through a somewhat dodgy spell after his knock on the head against Manchester City at the Emirates, but Sherwood must ensure that he holds onto a keeper of the quality of what we currently have.

“The objective is to reach the Champions League. After that, it’s to close the gap on the biggest teams in the league,” Hugo told Telefoot.

“Without Champions League football? I’ve not thought about it. I must weigh things up at the end of the season.”
