An Important Summer For Filip Lesniak

Recent Spurs debutant Filip Lesniak has just the pre-season left to prove his worth at Tottenham according to a number of reputable reports.

The 21 year old will be out of contract at Tottenham this Summer and must therefore use the post-season tour of Hong Kong to prove to the Spurs senior management that he’s worth holding on to. Lesniak was selected in the squad to face Kitchee SC alongside fellow youth prospects Will Miller, Luke Amos and Kazaiah Sterling.

Lesniak initially signed for Spurs in 2012, but only very recently made his long awaited debut. He appeared on the bench in Tottenham’s successive demolition jobs of Leicester and Hull, but played just 7 minutes of football against the former champions. In that brief appearance, however, the young Slovak did manage to get himself an assist, in aiding Harry Kane to complete his hat-trick.

It is rumoured that there is a great deal of interest regarding Lesniak’s future, with a whole host of Championship sides ready to pounce on a free transfer for the youngster. According to SkySports, sides from Slovakia, Russia, Greece and the Czech Republic are also monitoring the situation.
