Is there something in the air?

Can everyone feel it, or it just me?

There’s been a change in mood, in optimism, in excitement, in anticipation of the forthcoming fixtures. Pretty much since the very moment Alexander Sørloth decided to smack his late, late opportunity too close to Hugo rather than whisk it across him in to the far corner, there’s been an extra buoyancy in the step of all Spurs fans.

Juan Foyth’s remarkable run of games, superb at West Ham in the Carabao, Bambi-like at Molineux, Man (who-looks-most-like-a-boy) Of The Match display against Palace with the winning goal thrown in, together with Lamela’s new found ability to influence games, Sissoko’s extraordinary impression of a man with confidence, the return to form of Dele and Eriksen and even the apparent replacement of Vorm with Gazzaniga as number two keeper have all lifted the mood.

And there’s so much more to come.

Rose, Vertonghen and Trippier are still to come back from injury. Son is yet to find his best form, Lucas is starting to add goals to his trickery and Harry is scoring on important occasions, not yet though his usual bucket loads of goals. It’s only a matter of time.

Those not paying attention think that Hugo is having a bad season but in the last few weeks he has won us games at West Ham, Wolves and Palace.

Next weekend we face Chelski and Wembley and then visit the Emirates. Bring it on.

A few weeks ago Poch claimed that it was his most difficult time at Spurs, yet here we are. Homeless, tired and without fresh bought in blood, but full of skill, positivity and fight.

He’s magic you know.

COYS.
