Jansenn frustrated at lack of Spurs move

Tottenham Hotspur target Vincent Janssen has expressed his disappointment after AZ Alkmaar rejected a bid from the Premier League club.

Spurs are said to have lodged a bid of £11million for the top scorer in the Eredivisie last season, while Alkmaar are holding out for around £17million.

The 27-goal striker spent two days in London earlier this month to meet with Mauricio Pochettino and visited Tottenham’s training facility but so far a deal is at deadlock between both clubs.

Jansenn, 22 has publicly expressed his frustration at not being able to seal a move to Tottenham and hopes that a resolution can be met.

“At the moment I’m still a bit disappointed with AZ. I’m disappointed with how they behaved. I would like to make the move,” Janssen told the television station.

“I have expressed my choice to the club. In my opinion, Spurs bid a high amount.

“I indicated that I would take the next step and want to get away from the club. They know (this) and are aware of (the situation).

“It’s a shame, I would have wished that it would go a little faster. Sure it’s fine to train again. AZ is a fantastic club, but I want to make that next step for my development.

“Ultimately I hope to shake people’s hands here and walk out of the door on good terms.”

Janssen will hopefully take some of the burden off Harry Kane in scoring the goals at Spurs.
