Kane confident on Spurs return for star midfielder

According to The Daily Star Harry Kane is reportedly confident that Luka Modric will return to north London.

The playmaker, who spent four years at Spurs, was in imperious form as Croatia dispatched of Argentina 3-0 in Russia last week.

The star bagged his team’s second and was instrumental throughout, however despite his impressive display, the 32-year-old could still be moved on by Real in the coming weeks.

According to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol Kane has been made aware by Spurs chiefs that Modric could move back to the club and Bookies BetStars have backed Mauricio Pochettino to snare Modric and his compatriot Ante Rebic.

Rebic, 24, currently at German side Eintracht Frankfurt and was similarly impressive against Jorge Sampaoli’s beleaguered side and BetStars director of trading Ian Marmion told Starsport: “Croatia’s World Cup campaign got off to the best possible start with a comfortable win over Nigeria and two of their international stars look set to join the Premier League this summer. Ante Rebic is one player who has caught the eye of Europe’s top clubs.

He added: “Tottenham lead the way as the 7/2 favourites to recruit the 24-year-old this summer as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season. Liverpool are next in the odds-stakes at 6/1 to add the Eintracht Frankfurt attacker to their ranks, closely followed by Bayern Munich at 7/1.

He went on to say: “Spurs are also the clear 4/1 favourites to reunite with their former star Luka Modric who is set to be offloaded by Real Madrid this summer. The North London club are in pole position to land the Croatian playmaker ahead of Chelsea and Barcelona at 10/1 and 12/1 respectively.”
