Kane “ideal candidate” for England captaincy says Redknapp

Former Spurs midfielder, and now Sky Sports pundit, Jamie Redknapp believes man of the moment Harry Kane would be the perfect England captain as Gareth Southgate decides on a permanent successor to Wayne Rooney.

“I think he’ll be the ideal candidate. It’s up to Gareth. History suggests somebody like Harry Kane would be perfect to be the England captain.”
