Kane’s glimmer of hope in Golden Boot race

Harry Kane has been given a glimmer of hope of chasing down top scorer Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.

Kane trails the PFA Player of the Year by five strikes as we enter the final weeks of the season and the prize looked to be beyond the reach of the England international.
However, Salah now has the prospect of missing three matches through suspension with a possible violent conduct charge looming large over him after appearing to swing an arm at Bruno Martins Indi during Liverpool’s goalless draw with Stoke at the weekend.

Match referee Andre Marriner did not see the incident, which turn opens up the possibility of a referral to the Football Association’s disciplinary panel for review.

We have four Premier League games remaining starting with this tonight’s clash against Watford at Wembley and Liverpool are preparing for a Champions League semi-final second leg trip to Roma before completing their domestic campaign against Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion.
