Konoplyanka wants Premier League move

Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka, 25, has turned down a move to Roma in order to join either Liverpool or Tottenham, according to the Sunday Express.

The winger is available on a free transfer at the end of the current campaign. He nearly joined Liverpool but the move broke down at the last minute due to financial differences.

Mauricio Pochettino is know to be in the market for a new wide man, with our longest-serving player Aaron Lennon set to leave the club before the end of the transfer window. Hull City are said to be front runners for the England international.

Konoplyanka told his official YouTube video channel: “Yes, Roma were interested in me, but I refused them. Perhaps they will be disappointed but that’s life and that’s football.

“Last time with Liverpool was different. I wanted to go there but the clubs could not agree terms [with each other].

“My goal as a child was to play in England. The leagues are stronger and I still want to try my hand there.”
