Lawro: Leicester should not fear Spurs

9

BBC football pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted that Tottenham Hotspur will draw away to Leicester City on Boxing Day.

Lawro has claimed that the Foxes have nothing to be scared of in the shape of Spurs and should come away with a point. In typical Lawro style he has tried to be clever and credit Christian Eriksen with our recent form.

He told BBC Sport Online: “I could save a lot of time here and just say Tottenham will nick a 2-1 win in the last minute.

“That was the story of their last away game against Swansea, just as it was against Hull and Aston Villa in the last couple of months too.

“Leicester have lost nine of their last 10 league games and are in real danger of just slipping away.

“They are five points adrift of safety and desperately need to arrest the slide they are on.

“They should not look at Spurs and see anything to be scared of and, if they avoid making silly mistakes, they have a chance of picking up at least a point.

“Lawro’s prediction: 1-1.”

  1. So Tottenham joint 6th, still in all competitions, Leicester bottom and only 10 points and yet its going to be a draw…shows how much these edjuts know about football…..and they get paid for it!!!!ª

  2. Pundits JUST can see it can they. Spurs in good form. Leicester in bad form…..yep Thats a draw!! Rocket scientists. In my opinion I'd go as far to say we will score 3 and they might nick 1…1-3 the result.

  3. I agree with all the above comments. If lawro predicts a bad result for SPURS. going on his past forcasting history we should win easily.

  4. If Spurs keep their cool and do not make simple defensive blunders, they should beat Leicester comfortably. Also if Spurs score first, relatively early in the game, they MUST IMMEDIATLY press for a second goal and even a third. Spurs cannot sit on their laurels and take the pressure off their opponents for one minute.

  5. Lawrenson has'nt got a clue, he thinks Liverpool will still finish fourth, they are nearer the bottom two than fourth, i think he has been brainwashed by Rodgers who thinks that one point out of six (last minute goal)
is Liverpool on the way up, apparantly he says they were superb against Bournemouth and united.
