Lloris praises Alli for bouncing back

According to The Daily Mail Spurs captain Hugo Lloris has praised Dele Alli for bouncing back from one of the toughest weeks of his young career.

Alli didn’t start either of England’s recent international friendlies, placing huge doubt over his role in Gareth Southgate’s plans especially considering the form of Manchester United star Jesse Lingard who started ahead of Alli in both England friendlier.

However he returned to club action in style at the weekend to score twice in Tottenham’s first win at Stamford Bridge since 1990 and answering his critics in explosive style.

“He is still young but has a big personality and he showed it. I mean to react in that way is fantastic for him”:said Lloris.
“It’s not easy because you need to give time to young players to get to the right age, to be mature.

Lloris added: “To see or to hear criticism, he is so talented – there is a lot of expectation and obviously in football today it is normal that things like that happen.

He went on to say: “I don’t know what happened in national team, but obviously he didn’t play and I think he came back to training with a big willingness to show his quality and I think he is ready to finish this season strong”.
