Long term Spurs target set for Everton move

Everton are holding talks with Bordeaux over a move to sign £30million Spurs target Malcom.

Sky Sports reporter Paul Gilmour says Toffees management will meet Bordeaux chairman Stephane Martin in a bid to finalise the move.

If the finer details can be agreed then Malcom is poised to sign a five-year deal worth £80,000-a-week at Goodison Park.

“He was linked with Tottenham in January but we understand Everton are in advanced talks to sign the winger,” Gilmour told Sky Sports.

He added:”A £30m deal plus add-ons is being discussed with the Bordeaux chairman due to meet with Everton officials tomorrow. The Brazilian could sign a five-year deal worth £80,000 a week.

Malcom told Sky Germany that he wouldn’t have a problem with moving to England and revealed he’d been learning English.

With the arrival of Lucas Moura in January a move for Malcom looked less likely but a player of that quality would surely have added something especially with the modest fee and wages needed.
