Match Review: Spurs 4-0 Leyton Orient

In Tottenham’s first friendly of the pre-season, a youthful Spurs side ran out comfortable 4-0 winners over National League team Leyton Orient.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, Jaded Brown, Kyle Walker-Peters and Will Miller were all on target for Tottenham, while veteran shot-stopper Michel Vorm kept a clean-sheet at the other end.

Spurs took the lead through England Under 20s World Cup winner Kyle Walker-Peters, who utilised his skill and pace to carve a way through the Orient defence before laying the ball off to a team-mate.

Some inter-play between Kazaiah Sterling and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou eventually saw Walker-Peters teed up for the shot on his left foot, which found it’s way into the near corner after just 11 minutes of play.

25 minutes later and Spurs had doubled their lead thanks to a solo effort from 22 year old winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, who struck an impressive angled effort past the sprawling O’s keeper Charlie Grainger after giving jolting left and right on the edge of the box and giving two different defenders the slip.

Mid-way through the second half, Spurs went 3-0 up when Anthony Georgiou made a powerful, darting run all the way to the byline where he then drilled a low cross into the 6 yard box, which eventually fell to the feet of 18 year old Jaden Brown, who rifled home from 14 yards.

The rout was completed soon after by midfielder Will Miller, who played a one-two with youngster Shayon Harrison which cut through the Orient defence like a hot knife through butter. Miller then finished the move off by gracefully placing the ball across the advancing goalkeeper after receiving Harrison’s pass in his stride.
