Monchengladbach loathe to part with Spurs and Arsenal target

According to German publication ‘Bild‘ Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has said ‘there is absolutely no reason’ for the club to sell Tottenham target Jannik Vestergaard.

The defender is wanted by Spurs as well as north London Arsenal this January after a number of impressive performances.

It adds that the 25-year-old was also on West Ham’s radar a few years back during his time at Werder Bremen, but their focus is went elsewhere and Arsenal and Spurs have both been linked with signing a new centre-back during the current transfer window, but it seemingly won’t be Vestergaard.

The article goes on to say Gladbach sporting director, Eberl, has poured cold water on the transfer talk surrounding the club’s star defender.
“There is absolutely no reason for us to let Jannik go,” Eberl told Bild.

So another centre back, we seem to be well covered in that department and perhaps not something we are crying out for.
