Neymar “saddened” at Moura departure

Brazilian superstar Neymar has admitted he is sad at the prospect of ‘good friend’ Lucas Moura leaving Paris Saint-Germain for Spurs. .

Moura is of course on the verge of signing for Tottenham and was having a medical on Wednesday morning, but according to talkSPORT Neymar, who joined PSG for £198m in 2017, thinks he shouldn’t’ be going anywhere.

“I am sad because he is a good friend, a quality player who was used very little,” he explained to journalists after the club’s 3-2 French League Cup win against Rennes.

The forward did express his hopes that the winger can play more first team football and force his way back into the Brazil side, a team he hasn’t played for since 2016.
“Here, he could have been used a lot more, I am sure of it,” he continued. “But I am not the owner of the team, nor the owner of PSG. For me, he should never be leaving Paris.”

Neymar’s other Brazilian team mate Marquinhos has had his say on Moura’s exit, adding: “It is good that Lucas is going to Tottenham. He will join Serge [Aurier]. I hope that he succeeds over there.”
