Player Ratings: Michael Oliver 4-0 Tottenham

Hugo Lloris –  Not the best display from Hugo, allowing too many shots to go under his body and being rounded by Hazard early on.

Kyle Naughton – Good in the first half, monitoring Hazard, but it all fell away in the second half, as more and more space was gifted for Chelsea to attack into.

Michael Dawson – Solid first half, unfortunately had to go off injured in the second; we are suffering a defensive crisis with him, Chiriches and probably Kaboul out for the North London derby.

Younes Kaboul – A dominating performance in the first half and wrongly sent off in the second as Eto’o made a meal of minimal contact.

Jan Vertonghen – A horrific slip to allow Eto’o to open the scoring, and ineffective going forward too.

Sandro – A very good performance from the Beast until his move to centre-back, which was never going to end well – especially as he didn’t have himself in front of him to cover.

Nabil Bentaleb –  Mature first half performance after recovering from gifting the ball to Hazard after 5 minutes but lost his way in the second, like they all did.

Kyle Walker – I have no clue what his position was today, and frankly, he wasn’t very good in it. It somehow seemed to work first half, though.

Aaron Lennon – Saw a fair bit of the ball in the first half without ever doing too much with it.

Gylfi Sigurdsson – Saw little of the ball and offered little defensively too.

Emmanuel Adebayor  – Toothless throughout although he was hardly given sufficient service.

Substitutes

Paulinho – Reasonably impressive on the ball.

Zeki Fryers – Overawed at left back, but what else do you expect when Chelsea are a man up and overloading on their right wing?
