Pochettino chasing fellow Argentine

Mauricio Pochettino is supposedly still interested in a move for West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini sources close to both clubs have told ESPN FC.

The article adds that Poch is a big admirer of his fellow Argentine Lanzini, and we were linked earlier in the season and it adds that Pochettino feels he would be a valuable addition to his squad.

The 24-year-old flyer has caught the eye when playing against Tottenham according to the article, with him of course scoring three goals against us since arriving in England, and his general performances have brought him to the attention of several big clubs.

The article adds that Pochettino is looking to add more creativity to his ailing side to help provide better service to Harry Kane and will supposedly test West Ham’s resolve to hang onto Lanzini.

The Argentine is under contract at West Ham until 2020 and new boss David Moyes would be reluctant to lose one his key players in January with the club in the midst of a relegation battle. The fee is also likely to be close to £30m

The article adds that Lanzini has impressed for the Hammers after joining initially on loan from Al-Jazira of the United Arab Emirates in the summer of 2015, before making the move permanent the following summer.

So it’s a name that keeps popping up. Is he the sort of creative spark we need. I can imagine West Ham’s board will be looking for a large fee more so if we come knocking.
