Pochettino plans Edwards talks

Mauricio Pochettino has said he will hold crunch talks with youngster Marcus Edwards after the youngsters loan spell at Norwich City was cut short for personal reasons.

The 19-year-old star has been much hyped and went on the first loan spell of his career in January as he joined the Championship side initially until the end of the season.

However ended up playing just six minutes for Daniel Farke’s side in the three months he was at Carrow Road. And according to The Telegraph, following the news that Edwards had left Norwich, one of the reasons he had returned was that he had failed to turn up on time to training on several occasions and in turn frustrated teammates with his poor attitude.

And in his press conference ahead of the Manchester City match Pochettino was asked about the reports, and replied: “I was talking with John [McDermott – Spurs’ academy head] and Dean [Rastrick – academy manager] – they’re dealing with Norwich and they told me about personal reasons.

He added: “We’re going to talk next week but we haven’t had time to go farther with that situation. Only they told me that for personal reasons he’s back.”
