Pochettino to give Lucas a chance to shine

Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that Lucas Moura may be given a chance ahead of our final five games of the season in our push to secure Champions League football and finish as high as we can.

The Brazilian midfielder made his third substitute appearance in the Premier League with an impressive cameo in our 3-1 defeat against Manchester City on Saturday.

All together he has played eight times so far since his arrival from PSG in January and scored his first goal for the club in the FA Cup draw at Rochdale in February.

Speaking ahead of the trip to Brighton Mauricio Pochettino said there is a possibility for Lucas to feature more if he makes changes to his line-up against the Seagulls tomorrow evening

“Maybe he has the opportunity to start to play a little bit more,”: Pochettino said at this afternoon’s pre-Brighton press conference.
“There are a lot of games still to play and now is the moment maybe to rotate players that are tired. Of course, we need fresh legs to try to get our objectives.

Pochettino added: “He is one of the players working hard to try to take the opportunity and maybe tomorrow is a good opportunity for him to play a little bit more.”It’s
