Premier League golden boot race is on

The Golden Boot race is certainly more interesting now Harry Kane has been awarded his 25th goal of the season.

A three-man panel decided Harry got the final touch for our second goal in the 2-1 win against Stoke on the 7th of April.

It had originally been awarded to Christian Eriksen as it was his free-kick that seemed to go straight towards Jack Butland’s goal however Kane was adamant he got a touch, and the club and Kane successfully appealed to the Premier League’s Goal Accreditation Appeals Panel.

It all means that Kane is only the third player to score 25 goals in at least three consecutive Premier League campaigns, following in the footsteps of the league’s top scoring striker, Alan Shearer, who scored 260 Premier League goals in his career and Arsenal favourite Thierry Henry.

The world has seemed to in a tizzy over Kane’s claim to the goal, despite Eriksen’s backing. Do you think Kane was right to claim it or should he have left it to his team mate?
