PSV flyer interesting Spurs

We are among a host of Premier League clubs tracking PSV Eindhoven star Steven Bergwijn, sources close to the player have told ESPN.

Several of Europe’s top clubs, including Spurs, have been alerted to Bergwijn’s potential with the attacker scoring five goals and creating six assists in 22 games so far in this seasons Eredivisie.

ESPN say sources have told them that PSV are bracing themselves for offers for Bergwijn this summer with the Premier League looking likely to be the winger’s next destination and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to add to his attacking options as he looks to build a side capable of challenging for the Premier League title next term.

It says we have held a long-term interest in Bergwijn, 20, and we have enjoyed relative success in the past when raiding the Dutch market, having signed the likes of Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen and Davinson Sanchez from Ajax.

Bergwijn can play on either wing and the flyer has represented the Netherlands from the under-17 through under-21 levels and is tipped to break into the senior squad in the near future.
