Report: Norwich City name their price for Spurs target Ben Godfrey

Norwich have slapped a huge £50m price tag on reported Tottenham target, Ben Godfrey as the defender is linked with a move away from the struggling Premier League side.

Sky Sports reported this week that the relegation-threatened Canaries would be willing to cash in on Godfrey but they view him as one of their best young talents.

The report also suggests that German sides, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, have shown keen interest in the 22-year-old as Norwich look set to return to the Championship.

However, the two Bundesliga teams have valued the defender at around half of what Norwich are asking for.

The England U21 star is still under contract at Norwich until 2023 and played a huge role in their return to the Premier League.

£50m? No chance will Spurs spend that on the youngster. In all honesty, I cannot see any club coughing up that sum of money for the defender – especially given the current economic circumstances. If he really wants to move on from the Canaries he will no doubt force a transfer this summer.
