Report: Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg decides which club he wants to join this summer

Tottenham Hotspur continue to be interested in signing Southampton midfielder, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, with the player reportedly being keen on joining the North London club this summer (Evening Standard).

Spurs are said to be the number one destination for the Danish midfielder who has attracted interested from Manchester City and Ajax, according to the Daily Star.

With the defensive midfielder’s heart set on joining Spurs this summer, it is now left up to the Tottenham board to finalise a deal with Southampton.

It is reported by the Daily Star that Southampton value Hojbjerg at around £35m, although Spurs will aim to reduce that asking price and potentially offer Kyle Walker-Peters on a permanent transfer to sweeten the deal for Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side.

As Spurs close in on the midfielder, Jose Mourinho has also turned his attention on to addressing the problems Spurs have at right-back.

Mourinho is eyeing a more physical replacement for Walker-Peters with Serge Aurier the only recognised first-team right-back still at the club.

It seems as if Hojbjerg’s mind is all made up, it is now just down to the board to get the deal across the line. Let’s hope for our sake that they can get it done early and at a decent price, well below the £35m valuation.
