Report: Spurs linked midfielder rejects £100,000-a-week deal from interested club

Willian has rejected a move to the newly formed Inter Miami which has potentially provided Spurs with a boost in their rumoured pursuit of the Brazilian this summer.

According to The Telegraph, the David Beckham-owned club had offered Willian a huge deal said to be over £100,000-a-week to help boost their reputation as they look to make an instant impact in the top league in the States.

Willian will become a free agent at the end of the month and has attracted attention from the likes of Arsenal for his services (Mirror), however, Spurs remain interested seven years on from initially planning to purchase the winger.

The report suggests the 31-year-old is looking for a three-year deal as he could end up working under the manager which initially brought him to the Premier League in 2013, Jose Mourinho.

However, The Sun report Manchester United and PSG are also monitoring his situation.

Spurs Web Opinion

This is a boost for Spurs in the race for the Brazillian, however, they still face fierce competition from all around Europe. I do think Spurs stand a good chance of landing the winger as it would mean he would not have to go through the process of moving house, and so on. However, where does he fit into the current side?
