Rose set for Dortmund return

Danny Rose could return for tonight’s Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund according to Sky Sports

They open with how Rose was left out of the squad for the north London derby defeat to Arsenal on Saturday and how Mauricio Pochettino was later forced to deny a rift with the player.

It adds that Pochettino insisted Rose was left behind to train on Saturday to improve his fitness after nine months out through injury however it does say the full-back had previously been in the squad for all five of Tottenham’s games since he made his comeback against Real Madrid last month.

Mauricio then faced further questions about his relationship with Rose in his pre-match news conference in Germany and again repeated that there was not a problem. Pochettino added: “Yes, he is doing well, the training session on Saturday was tough for him. Today he is going to train with the group and then we will decide tomorrow if he plays or not.

“I cannot speak about rumours. If you ask me if Danny Rose is here and we have an issue, I say no. But to speak about rumours, no. No issue with him.”

The article adds how we have already qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League and a win tonight would guarantee we progress as group winners.

Pochettino is confident his players will put the defeat against Arsenal behind them.He added: “We need to move on and we need to keep going. We are happy, I think the performance was good, now tomorrow is a good game.

“Trying to win here will be difficult because Dortmund are a very good team. They have very good players and we will try to be first, that is the objective and our challenge is to finish on top of the table in this tough, tough, group. It will be better if we can do that tomorrow.”

So what do we think guys. Will we finish the job with a game to spare? Or do we need to be wary of a wounded Dortmund. Let us know your thoughts
