Rumour Mill: £20 Million Price On Gray?

According to The Daily Mail, reported £20 million+ Tottenham and Everton transfer target Demarai Gray has held talks with the Leciester City hierarchy over his uncertain future at the club.

According to SkySources, Demarai Gray met with the Leicester City hierarchy on Monday to discuss his future at the club, amidst mounting interest from clubs in England and abroad.

Recently, it was reported that Gray was a figure of interest at both Tottenham and Everton after the attacking midfielder featured regularly for the England Under 21s during their successful European Championship campaign.

Even more recently, Bournemouth have also been linked with the youngster’s signature, however Leicester City remain adamant that Gray is not for sale.

According to the Daily Mail, it would cost in excess of £20 million to prise the Englishman away from the East Midlands club, a figure Spurs would be unwilling to pay.

The 21 year old winger started just 9 league games for Leicester last season and is apparently seeking game-time assurances from gaffer Craig Shakespeare if he is to stay at the King Power Stadium this Summer.

It is rumoured that Gray has asked for an increased amount of starting opportunities in the coming season or for the the freedom to find a new club this Summer.

The winger signed for Leicester from Birmingham City for just £3.5 million in 2016 and has so far scored once and assisted 4 times in 42 appearances in the Premier League.

Do you think somewhere in the region of £20 million is a fair price for 21 year old Gray? Or do you think he’s not someone Spurs should bother with?
