Rumour Mill: £35 Million For Seri?

Supposed Spurs target Jean-Michael Seri has been given a £35 price-tag by Nice President Jean-Pierre Rivere in light of major interest ahead of this Summer’s transfer window.

4 clubs including Barcelona and Tottenham are rumoured to be taking a serious look at the 25 year old midfielder, who’s current club Nice are coming under increasing pressure to sell the Ivorian.

According to InsideFutbol.com, many bids have already been made for Seri, but none of which have come close to the £35 million release clause in the midfielder’s contract.

Apparently, Nice will seek to sell Seri, but only for a figure close to the £35 million stated in his contract. Club president Jean-Pierre Rivere told French radio station RMC:

“We’ve got morals and we have set the bar at €40 million.”

“If someone comes up with a €40 million, we have a moral obligation to let the player go.”

“Maybe he will remain part of the team.” He added.

Seri scored 7 goals and assisted 9 times in 39 appearances last season and is under contract in Nice until Summer 2019.

Is £35 million too much? How much would you pay for Seri?
