Rumour Mill: King Anxious Over Spurs

According to SkySources, Everton have entered the race to sign Bournemouth striker Josh King amidst rumours that the 25 year old is unwilling to move to Spurs.

Yesterday, it was reported that Tottenham may be preparing a bid for the forward who scored 16 goals in the Premier League last season.

However, a mere 24 hours later, it seems Spurs’ hopes of landing the Norwegian have taken a set-back, with the striker reportedly feeling hesitant to join Tottenham, according to clubcall.com.

King apparently feels uneasy about the prospect of being a backup striker and, in all honesty, would have to perform miracles to earn a place on the team-sheet ahead of successive Golden Boot winner Harry Kane.

With Bournemouth recently confirming the acquisition of Jermain Defoe, it appears King could leave the Vitality Stadium for the same reasons, which opens the door for Everton, who look set to lose Belgian talisman Romelu Lukaku.

If Lukaku does in fact leave Goodison Park this Summer, Everton will become the more attractive destination for King, being able to offer more in the way of game-time and first team opportunities than Spurs.
