According to TalkSport, Tottenham are trying their hardest to wrap up a deal for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Adrien Silva, before he leaves for the Confederations Cup.

Silva, who managed 4 goals in 27 appearances last season, is soon to be jetting off to Russia with the Portugal national team for the Confederations Cup.

Portuguese newspaper Record reports that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen to sign the 28 year old before he leaves on international duty, which doesn’t leave him long to wrap up a deal.

The report claims Spurs may have to fork out £26.5 million for the Sporting captain, after already engaging in talks with the Portuguese outfit.

Portugal are due to play their first game of the tournament on Sunday, which means we’ll either be hearing big news within the next few days, or just more and more rumours.

Would you be interested in seeing Silva sign for Spurs? Or would you rather someone else?

  1. Know nothing about the guy never seen him play even on TV but judging by his club records for last season no way not good enough , its increditable when you look at Frank Lampards record you really should be very impressed even though he is a Chelsea man now that’s a midfielder player makes even the Everton man Blakely a school boy player .
