Rumour Mill: Spurs Targeting PSG Defender?

According to French outlet Telefoot, Tottenham have contacted PSG over the potential signing of 24 year old right-back Serge Aurier.

The Ivorian full-back joined PSG on a permanent basis in 2015 and has since made 42 appearances for the French club.

According to ESPN, Aurier has come to understand that PSG boss Unai Emery regards the defender as the second-choice full-back to 25 year old Belgian Thomas Meunier.

In addition to this, PSG have recently confirmed the signing of veteran right-back Dani Alves, who joined on a free transfer after being released by Champions League runners-up Juventus earlier in the Summer.

Therefore, there is now a great deal of speculation over the Ivorian’s future at PSG, with a number of reports linking the full-back with moves to Juventus, Manchester United, AC Milan and, most recently, Spurs.

According to French outlet Telefoot, Tottenham, who are still in the market to replace Kyle Walker after the Englishman joined Manchester City last week for roughly £50 million, have already contacted PSG over the availability of the 24 year old.

According to much less reputable sources, like The Sun and The Star, Aurier could cost up to £22 million this Summer, which is the exact same amount Porto are demanding for 23 year old Portuguese right-back Ricardo Pereira.

I’m going to wait for much more confirmation on the rumour before I trust this story, but hypothetically, who would you prefer for £22 million? Aurier or Pereira?
