Salah wary for Kane threat

Mo Salah has said that Harry Kane remains firmly in contention for the Golden Boot despite his four goal lead.

The Egyptian has scored a remarkable 29 goals in his first full season in English football, and following the latters injury he has a sizeable advantage in the goal scoring charts over Kane who is looking to follow in the footsteps of Thierry Henry by winning the Golden Boot in three consecutive seasons.

Sergio Aguero (21 goals) is the only other player to have found the net more than 20 times this season but Salah insists he is far from clear who will win the battle to claim the mantle of the Premier League’s deadliest finisher.

“Harry Kane and Aguero, I said before, they are strikers they play number nine,”:Salah told CNN. I play as a wing more so it’s easier for them because they are always in front of goal.

He added: “I play as a winger [so] it’s a little bit more difficult cause I have to give assists, I have to give the pass and create chances. But they are number nines and it’s [easier] for them. It’s still five games to go. We will see at the end of the season.”
