VIDEO: San Francisco 49ers visit Tottenham Hotspur

The San Francisco 49ers held a community event with Tottenham Hotspur at Hotspur Way on Monday.

The Niners are in the UK ahead of their International Series game versus the Jacksonville Jaguars which will be played on Sunday (27th October at Wembley Stadium.

The video is mostly geared towards American Football, however Lewis Holtby does have a cameo in the clip when he is asked about our title chances.

Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco quarterback (on the journey to London): “I tried to get some sleep on the plane was one of the biggest things so you don’t come over half jet lagged but I mean they (his team mates) say it’s a great city. They had a great time while they were here. I’m excited to be here, this is my first time out of the country.”

Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco quarterback (on his thoughts on a London franchise): “I’m really not too sure. You would have to ask, I think, each individual player’s response would be different but I haven’t been to London but I’ve heard great things so I don’t think too many people would be opposed.”

Patrick Willis, San Francisco linebacker (on playing at Wembley for a second time): “Yeah, yeah, yeah. I really like that stadium, I love the grass there. Anytime we can broaden the sport of football and the National Football League it’s always a good thing. The 49ers tend to have a lot of fans over here in the UK and we’re very fortunate to be over here and hopefully we can leave them with a memory.”

Lewis Holtby, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder (on the Premier League title race): “I don’t want to speak about the title but we’re three points behind the leaders and there’s a long season to go. If we keep on staying to the top, as close as possible to the end of the season and the end of the season’s where the money is.”

Lawrence Okoye, San Francisco defensive end (on being back in his hometown of London): “Obviously going to the 49ers I knew we’d be coming to London so it was a great opportunity for me to come back home and see everyone. Yeah, it was a huge incentive for me to get right. I’m glad to be here. Hopefully I’ll be here again in the future for another game.”
