Sancho adds to Dortmund’s injury headache

Jadon Sancho delayed the departure of the flight taking Borussia Dortmund to London after the youngster left his passport at home, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.

The 18-year-old has been the standout star in the Bundesliga this season following his switch from Manchester City but will certainly not be a popular figure today in the team camp.

Dortmund have also travelled to London without a host of first-team starters through injury and illness.

Marco Reus, Paco Alcacer, Julian Weigl and Łukasz Piszczek did not travel – all of which are usual starters for BVB.

Weigl misses the clash through illness which the Dortmund manager, Lucien Favre suffered from on Sunday forcing him to miss the squad’s training session.

Amongst Spurs’ injury crisis of their own, this will offer the Londoners a huge boost ahead of their first-leg clash against the Bundesliga leaders.

Danny Rose is Tottenham’s biggest doubt going into the clash at Wembley after the left-back sustained a gash to his shin in the win against Leicester and will undergo a late fitness test tomorrow after missing today’s training session.
