Sissoko hints at Ligue 1 return

According to an article on talkSPORT Moussa Sissoko has thrown his long-term Spurs future into doubt by admitting he wants to return to France.

The article adds how the much maligned Frenchman has forced his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s plans this season after originally struggling for form following his move from Newcastle in 2016. However the article says the powerful midfielder has refused to rule out a return to France.

Speaking to SFR Sport, Sissoko said: “”When I look at the French championship, yes I miss it a bit”.It was where I started, I have a lot of friends who still play [in Ligue 1], I think it would be nice to play against them. But at the same time, I’m very happy to be here, it’s [the Premier League] a championship I’ve always wanted to play in.”

It goes on to say the French international racked up 192 appearances playing for Toulouse before a move to England in 2013 with Newcastle United before a big money deadline day move to Spurs
