Spurs agree deal for Colombian midfielder

According to media reports in South America Tottenham have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Boca Juniors defensive midfielder Wilmar Barrios.

The 24-year-old is an international teammate of Davison Sanchez and is part of the Colombia squad at the World Cup 2018.

He has a combative reputation and has earned high praise in the Argentinian top division over the past two years.

The Boca Juniors star has even earned a nickname of El Kante Colombiano, or the Colombian N’Golo Kante after Chelsea’s France midfielder.

According to Argentinian station Radio Mitre an agreement is already in place on the say so of Mauricio Pochettino.

With Mousa Dembele looking Italy bound Spurs will be in need of a suitable midfield replacement

Also questions remain over Victor Wanyama’s future and their is also the possibility that Eric Dier could be re integrated into defence to cover should ,as expected he will , Toby Alderweireld depart, so Spurs will be in need of a defensive midfield option.
