Spurs beaten in race for Ajax star

Serie A side Roma have beaten Tottenham in the race for Ajax star Justin Kluivert after the son of Dutch legend Patrick agreed personal terms agreed terms with the Giallarossi.

The youngster has just one year remaining on his current contract with in talks with the 19-year-old about extending his stay, but according to talkSPORT his relationship with them has broken down.

Kluivert fell out with the club last summer when they tried to broker his sale to Spurs without informing him and even to Spurs remain interested Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, say it is Roma who are now leading the charge for Kluivert.

The article adds that personal terms have been agreed with the Dutchman after meeting his agent, Mino Raiola, in Monte Carlo will all that is left is for Roma to agree a fee with Ajax, but they are demanding over £30m.
