Spurs encouraged in Brazilian pursuit

According to talkSPORT Inter Milan have failed with a £35m bid for Tottenham target Malcom.

The 21-year-old had a decent season last season as he helped Bordeaux finish sixth in Ligue 1 and the forward’s performances made him Tottenham in January and we are still interested in him.

Italian giants Inter Milan have since joined the hunt for Malcom but, according to RMC Sport, their opening offer has been rejected.

The Italian club reportedly bid £35m for the Brazilian, but Bordeaux have snubbed the proposal.

The article goes on to say that Bordeaux are not unhappy with the total fee, however, just the structuring of the payment as Inter are refusing to pay the full £35m upfront and want it spread out over a number of years.

Bordeaux have said however that for any deal to take place the asking price must be paid in full.
