Spurs enter Reus race

According to The Mirror, Spurs are ready to capitalise on the hesitancy of Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus as he stalls on signing a new contract with the German club.

The talented 28-year-old will be entering the final year of his current deal with Dortmund at the start of next season and has so far refused to put pen to paper over an extension.

The article goes on to say that Dortmund could lose the Germany international for nothing in the summer of 2019 and thus may be forced to sell him in the next window in order to avoid losing him for free

And the Mirror claims We are considering a bid as Reus waits to see how Dortmund themselves operate in the market.

The Bundesliga side aren’t adverse to selling their top talent having sold Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang to Arsenal in January, while the likes of Mario Gotze, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski have been sold to rivals in recent seasons.

The article adds that former Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is also keen to bring Reus to Liverpool if the opportunity presents itself.

It concludes by saying that according to reports in Germany claim Reus will make his final decisions after the 2018 World Cup in Russia this summer.
