Tottenham Hotspur have been drawn in Group E along with CSKA Moscow, Bayer Leverkusen and Monaco in what on paper is one of the easier groups for Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

Last time out in the Champions League we managed to make it to the Quarter Final before losing to Real Madrid.  Can we go better this year?

When do the matches take place?

13–14/09/16: Group stage, matchday one
27–28/09/16: Group stage, matchday two
18–19/10/16: Group stage, matchday three
01–02/11/16: Group stage, matchday four
22–23/11/16: Group stage, matchday five
06–07/12/16: Group stage, matchday six

Full reaction to follow.

  1. This has to be a great group. Avoided the big guns. In principle, winning it should mean an easier game in the next round, but it does not always work like that.

  2. To be honest although a good group for us am pretty disappointed we don't have a big big game at Wembley. That's why we wanted champions league for the big European nights vs Barca, Real Madrid or Bayen. This has more of a Europa league feel about it I'm sorry to say.

  4. Great draw for us.
If we'd drawn a really big team it might have made it difficult to get out of the group.
This way we get more games at Wembley and the chance to progress even further.
