Spurs in Ranieri link

According to Football Italia Nantes Coach Claudio Ranieri is being linked with a return to England with Tottenham

The Italian coach is vastly experienced in the Premier League, having won the competition with Leicester City in 2016 and has managed Chelsea.

The article says that it appears Ranieri has fallen out with Nantes President Waldemar Kita, and according local newspaper Press Océan it is rumoured he won’t be in Brittany next season.

The article goes on to say it is claimed that one of his assistants told their French teacher that the lessons didn’t matter as “we won’t be here next season”.

The newspaper claims Ranieri is in discussion with Spurs as Daniel Levy prepares for life without Mauricio Pochettino with the Argentine possibly in the summer with Chelsea touted as one of his destinations.

Of course these are rumours, surely the ‘tinkerman’ wouldn’t be on Spurs radar even if Pochettino decided he’d had enough. A rumour at this stage nothing more we hope

  1. Don Balony, “Real” Marca, now Football Italia. Give me the Beano any day, much more sensible, if not as funny as the clowns that publish this garbage.

  2. Poch won’t be leaving. He has a project at Tottenham, and he’ll see it to a fruitful conclusion.
HOWEVER, if we somehow mess up a top four finish, then don’t discount anything.
This week could be either the Agony or the Ecstasy for the club, the management, the players, and, of course, the fans. There is no middle ground.
When we experienced the disaster of 2012 after having a nailed on 3rd at least, in late Feb/early March, it cost Redknapp his job, hurried up the departure of Modric, with Bale following the season after, and the whole nightmare set us back 3 years.
With the new stadium and keeping the core of this squad together, as well as Poch, means surely we can’t mess up again, having been ‘secure’ following the 3-1 Chelsea result. But Chelsea have somehow managed to win everything since, and we’ve continually spluttered with the finishing line in sight. it’s almost nightmarish again, but if we keep calm and remember the great performances that we HAVE put in this season, then we should get the 4 points we need, and are desperate for. Because you just know that Liverpool and Chelsea will win their last games.

  3. First of all.
I’m happy from the rumour, let us hope, pray if that is true or not,we’ll see.
Look,I think Pochettino has done a marvellous job at Spurs,he brought us to bring the highest table,he changed everything which we didn’t expected it,he hasn’t won any trophies which is Shame because he deserve so much credit to put under his shift. The transfer policy has been good, you know why?
We don’t need to many players,we don’t want a top dollar which doesn’t seemed work out.I think it’s right time to give our club to take next level,I hope Levy will leave soon I would be very surprised also if Ranieri story are true which we would like to know.As for Pochettino he needs to think about his next career yes we will all miss him if he leaves as I said from the beginning:’Pochettino has done a marvellous job at Spurs, his time was only to qualify champions league and of course we didn’t expect that we would challenge for the title,fa cup, carabo cup, possibly but what happens was I would suggest time need it,lack, bottle,no fight,no idea,no tactic similar to the Real Madrid.
That’s what I was thinking it was the problem.
Depth, wages will always be the problem.I would be satisfied if Claudio Ranieri will come an amazing appointment because if you saw winning the title at Leicester City was a fairytale,we hope it could be the same.
I always like Claudio,he’s funny,he loves everyone and he connected well at any club.
Pochettino is different you can’t compare to another manager, they have their own style of football.I like Pochettino when he came to Spurs,he needs to find a new challenge his time is up,it’s time to the next chapter.
    Claudio Ranieri!!!!
