La Liga Champions Barcelona are reportedly furious that Inter Milan didn’t activate their option on Rafinha, so he now could be set to join Tottenham instead.
The Brazilian midfielder joined the Nerazzurri on loan in January, and they had an option to make that move permanent for €35m and while both club and player want a permanent deal, the Inter can’t afford the option before June 30 as they have to meet their Financial Fair Play obligations.
Inter had hoped to work out a new deal with Barcelona , but today Spanish media outlet Sport say the Catalan club are furious that the option wasn’t taken up.
Barça believed Inter would sign Rafinha permanently if they qualified for the Champions League. However Rafinha’s agent and father, Mazinha, will try to calm the waters and get a deal done, however the article says now Tottenham have emerged as contenders.
Mauricio Pochettino wants reinforcements in midfield , and while the Brazilian’s first choices is Inter, Barcelona may prefer to do a deal with Spurs.
