Spurs Laughing at Jose

According to The Independent, news of Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho’s reported interest in signing Harry Kane for £100 million caused laughter not just amongst us fans, but in the boardroom at Tottenham too.

The article suggests that Spurs have absolutely no intention of selling star striker Harry Kane, who’s 29 Premier League goals last season saw him win his second Golden Boot award in as many seasons.

In fact, Daniel Levy’s estimation seems to be much closer to £200 million, which means Manchester United would have to fork over double their intended amount for the red-hot striker.

That said, regardless of a bid, there’s no way on heaven and earth that this sort of a deal would go through, and that seems to be the message from the hierarchy at Tottenham too.

Now it’s all about retaining our Champions League status and continuing to progress domestically and abroad in future campaigns so that rumours like this never cause anything but amusement at the club.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Levy does not want to sell. Kane wants to stay. Only Mourinho and his subservient lackeys in the redtop media think there is a snowballs chance in hell of Manure getting Kane.

  2. The journo who started this story is the biggest serial fantasist in “Fleet Street”. For the last 5 years under Fergie he wrote, every year, over the close season, that Manure were going to spend £100- £150m in that window. A truly massive figure at the time. (insert your own fantasy figure). They didn’t. In addition they were going to sign any fantasy player you can think of – Neymar, Bale, Ronaldo, God etc. Again, they didn’t! It’s his stock in trade.
Ignore any story this journo comes up with. Move on, there’s nothing to see here.
