Spurs linked with Real Madrid superstar

According to the Daily Star, Spurs are reportedly plotting to battle Manchester United for the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Currently lighting up the World Cup the Real Madrid star has been linked with a shock return to Old Trafford this summer after dropping a huge transfer hint after last month’s Champions League final.

Just after Real triumphed in the Champions League final against Liverpool Ronaldo said: “In the next few days I will give an answer to the fans that have always been on my side.It was very nice to be at Real Madrid, in the coming days I will talk about it more.”

The article mentions that Ronaldo is believed to be keen on a move to United where he would be reunited with former Real boss Jose Mourinho, however according to reports in Spain, the 33-year-old has five offers to leave the Bernabeu.

Spanish outlet Diario Gol claims Spurs and Chelsea are ready to rival United adding that Mauricio Pochettino is ready to splash the cash ahead of moving into their new stadium, demonstrated by Harry Kane’s recent contract extension.

The article goes on to say PSG and Bayern Munich are also interested but Diario Gol state that Ronaldo is only interested in a move to United.
