According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig looks set to join Spurs Tottenham, with a deal thought to be close.
There has been plenty of excitement about midfielder Puig in Spain with 18-year-old playmaker featuring for the Barcelona Juvenil A team, thriving in the UEFA Youth League, whilst he has even made three appearances for the Barcelona B team this season.
He looks set for stardom but and Catalan newspaper “Sport” claim that we are very close to signing the midfielder adding that Puig’s contract expires this summer and has yet to receive a deal to stay with Barcelona, which has allowed Mauricio Pochettino to make his move
The report adds how Pochettino is allegedly ‘in love’ with Puig’s ability, and a deal is thought to be close as talks are ‘advanced’, with a decision will coming in the next few days as Barcelona look set to lose the youngster but the report adds that a move to Hotspur Way looks to be near and it would make Puig our first signing of the summer.
