Spurs new home may not be ready- weather dependant

According to The Mirror we could be forced to play our opening games away from the new White Hart Lane next season all thanks to the delightful British weather.

The article says that the Spurs hierarchy have until the end of the month to tell league bosses whether their new home will be ready for the big kick-off next season.

It adds that any delay in the building work could see us play our first few games away from home, as Liverpool and West Ham have done in recent seasons.

It adds that Spurs are confident however our new ground will be completed in time, the next couple of weeks will be crucial with the £20million roof being lifted into place, something the club described as a ‘key milestone’ in the stadium build.

A statement on the clubs website confirmed the process would take a ‘number of weeks’ and would be ‘dependent on weather conditions’ but should any problems arise then the most likely scenario is that we will play a handful of their early fixtures away from home.
