Spurs ready to follow up interest on Dembele replacement

According to talkSPORT Tottenham are ready to firm up their interest in Napoli midfielder Amadou Diawara.

We have been tracking the 20-year-old since he was at Bologna two years ago when he first broke onto the scene and now, according to Tuttosport, we are ready to test Napoli’s resolve this summer with a formal offer.

Ww are in the market for a central midfielder this summer as Mousa Dembele’s future remains uncertain as the Belgian will have one year left on his contract come the end of the season and he is a target for AC Milan.

Back in March the Belgium midfielder hinted that this season could be his last at Hotspur Way and the 30-year-old’s departure would leave us short in the middle of the park and they may swoop for Diawara to fill that hole.

So do you think the Belgian powerhouse days at Spurs numbered. His season has certainly been hit and miss and Pochettino has spoken of his need to “manage” Dembele’s game time. With Alderweireld seemingly gone, possibly Danny Rose too can spurs afford the loss of Dembele too? Let us know your thoughts
