Spurs reveal new season ticket details for 2020/21 season

Tottenham have finally announced plans for fans to renew their season tickets for the 2020/21 season.

It is likely the Premier League season will begin with social distancing regulations still in place, therefore, stadiums will be forced to operate at a reduced capacity (Telegraph).

Yet the club has said they need fans to register their interest in renewing their season tickets for next season in order to register seat changes for those fans who request to move and to give them time to consider new health and safety features.

“With leagues across Europe bringing fans back to stadiums and discussions underway here in the UK about fans attending Premier League matches, possibly with initially reduced capacities, we should like to update supporters on preparations and Season Ticket renewal plans for 2020/21,” read a statement on Tottenham’s website.

Should the Premier League introduce reduced capacity regulations and the stadium be oversubscribed with season ticket holders, then the club will enter all names into a ballot.

Football.London has reported there is the possibility that test events could be held later this month with a chance of fans returning as early as the beginning of August.

You can understand Tottenham’s eagerness to lockdown season ticket holders for next season, however, it comes at a time of uncertainty for the fans. There is only rumour of when fans could return to football and even when they are allowed to return, not all season ticket holders could be guaranteed their seat in the stadium.
