Spurs striker “honoured” to join Napoli

Spurs flop Fernando Llorente’s agent has revealed that the former Juventus striker would be ‘honoured’ to join Napoli.

It is expected that the former Swansea man will leave Tottenham this summer after a season of playing second fiddle to Harry Kane, and his agent-brother Chus talked up the possibility of the 33-year-old joining Napoli.

“We know nothing about any interest from Napoli,” he told CalcioNapoli24.

“Until now no-one has contacted us from Napoli or Tottenham, so I don’t have much to say about it.Of course, we’d be honoured to deal with the Italians because we’re talking about one of the top clubs in Italy.

He added:”We’re talking about a top club, so it would really be a great honour if it was true that Napoli wanted him. “We absolutely won’t renew with Tottenham.

“Ancelotti? He’s one of the best Coaches in the world! He’s won virtually everything there is to win, there’s nothing else to say about him.

He went on to say: “Joining Juve’s title rivals? Let’s slow down! For now, there are no negotiations.”

The Spaniard scored 27 goals for Juve between 2013 and 2015, winning two Scudetti and reaching a Champions League Final.
