Spurs Tie Up Sanchez Deal

Tottenham Hotspur have announced that the transfer of Davinson Sanchez has been officially completed subject to the receipt of a work permit, which is expected to come through later this week.

Last Friday, Spurs announced that both a transfer fee and personal terms had been agreed, with the deal set to be completed subject to both a medical and a work permit.

Now that the medical is done and that Sanchez has been presented with his shirt, Tottenham Hotspur have announced his official arrival at the club, in a deal believed to be worth £38.4 million according to SkySources.

Spurs took to both social media and the club’s official website to release the news, while also revealing that the 21 year old Colombian will wear the number 6, formerly held by midfielders Tom Huddlestone and Nabil Bentaleb.

Adding to the brief statement released a few days ago, Sanchez has defined his move from Ajax to Spurs as a ‘step forward’ in his career. He told Spurs TV:

“This is a massive opportunity for me because of what Tottenham represent, not just here in England but around the world.”

“It’s a huge step forward in my career,” He added. “And will allow me to continue developing and achieving big things.”

“This is a great chance.”
