Spurs v Toffees in race for prolific Turkish star

Spurs and Everton have moved ahead in the ongoing race to sign in-demand Besiktas forward Cenk Tosun, having held talks with the player’s father according to talkSPORT.

The article says Mesut Tosun, who also represents his son, is understood to have told the Premier League heavyweights that the prolific striker is very keen on a move to England, but they will have to wait until the summer until they get their man.

The article adds how the Turkey international has been in blistering form so far this season, having netted 14 times in 26 appearances for club and country.

The article adds that this remarkable form has seen him linked with up to 13 clubs, with Besiktas desperate to hold onto their star man.

However the article does say that according to Turkish-Football, both Everton and Tottenham have made significant strides in their attempts to lure Tosun to the Premier League, following positive conversations with the player’s father.
